Fly Fishing on the River Taw

Rashleigh Beat
Rashleigh is only a couple of miles from the cottage.

The River Taw is full of wonderful deep pools and ripples which make excellent fishing for brown trout, salmon and sea trout. The season starts on the 1st March for salmon and the 15th March for trout. Spinning in March only. Chenson is the nearest beat to the cottage and the other beats are slightly further downstream and a 5 minute journey in the car.

Tickets can be arranged and beats booked prior to your visit.

You will need to have an Environmental Agency fishing license, these can be obtained online. Fly fishing tuition can be organised.
