We enjoyed sitting around the fire in the evenings - thank you for the wood supplied.
The setting was magical especially in the morning when the mist surrounded the valley.

We loved it here, very relaxing. Cottage great & comfortable bed. Although the weather was mostly cloudy we did have really long walks from here & saw wonderful views and widelife. Lymington Arma superb food, Kings Arms great atmosphere. Eggesford Gardens for cream teas. Thank you for making us so comfortable & welcome.

Thank you for a wonderful visit to this area. The cottage is welcoming, cosy and peaceful. We had some very enjoyable trips out to Chaford, Lustleigh and Lynton. Had a couple of very satisfying walks in Fernworthy Forest, also the Valley of Rocks was well worth the journey to Lynton on a beautifully sunny New Year's Day.
The forest walks opposite Eggesford Station are v pleasant, especially if one walks from the cottage and back via the parish church. Pubs we liked are King's Arms at Winkleigh, The Cleeve Inn at Lustleigh and for a traditional Sunday roast dinner - The Portsmouth Arms at Chawleigh. Thanks again-hope to be back!

Our stay in your cottage was absolutely delightful. We were very impressed with the renovations you had done. It has so much character and a genuine homely feel. The kitchen is spacious and well kitted out. We were also surprised at how much there is to do in and around Eggesford. You can make this the sort of holiday you want, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and slow down the pace, it is remote and quiet. However, there is also a good choice of leisure activities to choose from. Highlights for us were visiting Lynton and Lynmouth, Fly Fishing and the tour of the airfield.. Thank you Nigel and Jackie for your warm hospitality, we hope to return soon.
